Ahreum Han-Tanner has been practicing various styles of yoga as a path towards health, happiness, and freedom for the last ten years. It is her belief that one must “teach what they know” and so an emphasis on study, practice, and integrity are the earmarks of her teaching. From 2003 to 2007 she studied and taught Dahn Yoga; a taoist form of Chi Gong from her native South Korea, and was certified as a Dahn Yoga teacher and Energy Healer. After leaving Dahn in 2007, Ahreum began studying Vinyasa flow, primarily under the guidance of her husband, Andrew Tanner, a respected Dharma Yoga teacher and the founder of Bamboomoves and Elements3 Yoga. In 2011, Ahreum was certified in SunTao Vinyasa Yoga. In 2013, she studied Forrest Yoga, under the tutelage of Ana Forrest. Inspired by Ana’s ability to use yoga to overcome depression and challenging circumstances, Ahreum is honored to be a 200-hour Associate Forrest Yoga Teacher and to carry on the Four Pillars of Forrest Yoga, by guiding people into their Breath, their Strength, their Integrity, and their Spirit. Ahreum is currently fulfilling her dharma as a mom to a ten month old baby Gemma. Therefore, she is radiating mom’s warm energy as her classes cater to all-levels and will encourage every student to try new things in a judgement-free environment.
